Winter street scene, Govan, Sask., No. 1
about 1905 to 1915 (estimate)

A snowy main street on a real-photo postcard, with the three-storey Silver Plate Hotel and a row of false-fronted shops on the left, a hardware store and general merchandise store on the right, and horse-drawn sleighs and wagons lined along both sides. A dog stands in the open snow beyond a wire fence in the foreground, and someone has drawn three ink X marks above buildings on both sides of the street.
